TRAFFIC! It’s what we all want, and need. More traffic to our sites, more traffic to our offers. Without traffic, we go broke. It’s a simple mathematical formula: traffic=viewers. Viewers-tourists=prospects. Prospects-unqualified prospects=buyers. Buyers=I made money. There’s the total chain that is followed before you make a commission, no matter what your offer, whether it’s a product offer, a sign-up offer, or even just a look at my website offer. So how do you get this traffic?
SEO
Always my favorite place to start. If you own a website, you better be all over your SEO. SEO is NOT difficult, though many make it out to be; it took me 3 days to get perfect SEO ratings on this site, from a half dozen sites, and software programs.
If you don’t have a website, I’d recommend building one; the vendor of your offer probably has crappy SEO, which is COMMON, you will pay by losing commisions you may have earned by having your own site that ranks HIGHER than your vendor’s site (and that IS a common occurence). If you can produce a higher rating than your vendor’s, promote YOUR site, not THEIR’S.
SEO will provide visibility in the search engines, and provide “organic” traffic from keyword searches. SEO is probably my main focus for this website, and guess what? This site shows in keyword searches; Affiliate Tools shows in “Recommended Site” listings; Affiliate Tools gets TRAFFIC!.
Traffic exchanges/Safelists
If you’re willing to put in some effort (usually nothing more than clicking, and watching other marketer’s ads), these will generate traffic. Whether or not they produce buyers is questionable (see here).

Allow me to indulge in some self-promotion. This site has perfect SEO; I analyze it daily. Google is emailing me, to let me know this site is showing up in their searches. If you register as a user, you can post classified ads, forum posts, and/or comment on my blog posts. If you subscribe to our mailing list (which is separate from registering as a user), you receive 1 week of free advertising in our Classified Ads section.
What’s the big deal with that? Not only is your ad posted here. Every blog post or classified ad from this site is posted on 30 social media feeds; Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. GOOGLE is emailing ME to tell me my content is showing up in their user searches.
